Campaign Confidence
Working with partners in Morecambe ensures that the communities we serve get a better service. Our key partners are Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, Lancashire Constabulary and Citizens Advice Bureau.
Many more Polish residents have had access to fire safety through the tireless work of Magda Stryjewska and John Smith who attend the Pomocna Dlon drop in session and work alongside our community interpreters.
Work with Lancashire Constabulary means we have quick access to resolving issues for residents and working alongside Citizens Advice Bureau we can provide an effective service for those facing debt; struggling with employment issues or needing specific advice on a range of issues.
Confidence in Morrisons’ car park on July 27th was the start of the Police’s summer campaign which aims to raise awareness throughout Lancashire of how partners work together to tackle the issues that matter to people locally. People met the police dogs whose job is to sniff out drugs and cash; looked round fire engines found out about recycling from the Council and tried Polish snacks with Pomocna Dlon plus learning more information about the Polish community in Morecambe. Non Polish residents were surprised to learn about the numbers of Polish people in Morecambe; liked the snacks and were surprised that they could be bought in Morrisons and some told of us of their connections with the Polish community who came to the UK during the war.
