Holocaust Memorial Day

Liz Neat receiving the Anne Frank Award in 2008This annual event co-ordinated by NCBI Lancashire in January every year remembers the different groups who were targeted during the Holocaust and celebrates the survival of culture and the human spirit.

Every year is different but we always hold a candlelight commemoration in the Garden of Remembrance by the Town Hall in Lancaster and a celebratory event. The Dukes host a film during the week and there are workshops in the community and in schools.

In 2008 NCBI was awarded an Anne Frank award for their work in the community.
